Poem - Engagement

When she finally listened,
She felt the pounding in her chest,
Everyone looked at her eyes and saw them glisten,
When all along she thought this was a test,
As she saw him get down on one knee,
She felt her heart ache,
When he pulled out the diamond ring,
Ripples began in the lake,
And the bells from behind began to ding,
He asked her the question,
She said yes then jumped and kissed him,
He held her and said “Your Mine”
She replied with “I’ll always love you Tim”,
Right there and then they saw their future shine,
They loved forever loyal and real.

  1. Very creative and visual, got a clear vision of the poem taking place, also got to admire the rhymes used in the poem.
