I Miss You Papa

Poem
When I lost you,
I swear I lost my lost my life too.
Yes I know you fly up above,
High in the sky with the white doves.
I remember our heart to heart talks,
Will never forget our long walks.
You were the Dad I never head,
Papa when God called you it hurt so bad.
To hold your hand when your machine powered down,
I swear I’ll never forget all 11 of our frowns.
Every day I think “Are you proud of me”?
But at most times I say “You are the angel I want to see.”
At a game or meet I look up,
And picture you standing there,
You were more than my fan,
Papa you were my number one answered prayer.
I’ll never forget your smile,
Your grey and white hair,
Your chilled out style,
And how you never cared if people starred.
You were taken from me three years ago,
But pa my love for you was never hard to show.
You taught me to be strong,
And that’s what gave us our tight bond.
Before I go to sleep,
I always say,
“If you were here,
I know I’d be a different and better person.”
Your more than a memory,
You were someone who was very dear to me.
If I could see you one more time,
I would cherish every second that flew by.
